Amado Gonzalez is a Web: Engineer, Designer, Developer;  He served as Coordinator Computer Systems Control, and Virtual Reality Engineer of The College of Engineering and Computing at Florida International University. The college offers a complete range of fully accredited engineering baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degree programs. With close to $20 million of external funding, research is an integral part of the college’s mission and its success.


Amado Gonzalez became a team member for FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing in 1998, and has provided exceptional, optimistic, professional service for nearly 2 decades.

With a proven track record of leadership in Web Innovation and Technology, his current Digital Assets Portfolio attracts nearly 1 million hits per week.


Responsibility and accountability for the administration, design, development, maintenance, quality and security of FIU College of Engineering and Computing external-facing web sites.   Collaborates with FIU Schools, Departments, Centers, Laboratories, IT staff, faculty, department chairs, and university leadership to identify and maximize web-based opportunities.  Increasing exposure for FIU, improving online business processes and supporting critical business strategies.


Amado provides leadership, vision and direction for web-based activities of the enterprise. His goal is to establish an organized, strategic online presence for the university, enabling it to better serve its target audiences, manage the production, the quality control process, and ensure we are utilizing the best processes and technologies to deliver exceptional experiences to our users.
